2026 Call for Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) 

We are pleased to announce the opening of the 2026 Call for STSM Grants. 

Call Deadlines

  • Call Deadline: 5 March 2026, 23:59 CET
  • Evaluation Period: 6-13 March 2026
  • Announcement of Results: 17 March 2026

How to Apply

Follow these steps to submit your application:

  1. Review the Guidelines: Carefully read the ENFiber STSM Guidelines before applying.
  2. Prepare the required documents:
  3. Complete the ENFiber STSM Grant Application Form and save it as a PDF document.
  4. Invitation letter from the Host Institution.
  5. ENFiber Detailed STSM Budget Break-Down Form.
  6. Updated CV in the Europass format on e-COST profile
  7. Submit your application:
  8. Log in to your e-COST profile (or create one if you don’t have an account).
  9. Complete the electronic application form available here. 

After the STSM

  1. Confirmation from the Host institution: A letter or an email from the senior researcher of the Host institution confirming that the applicant has successfully completed the mission.
  2. Prepare Your Report: Use the ENFiber STSM Report Template to draft your report.
  3. Submit the Report: Upload the completed report to e-COST no later than 30 days after the activity’s conclusion, 15 days from the end date of the Grant Period, or, within a shorter timeframe if requested by the Grant Holder or Grant Awarding Coordinator to meet reporting deadlines.
  4. Capture the Moment: Take photos with the Host Institution team to share on ENFiber’s social media.
