Network & Governance
A collaborative network with clear and inclusive governance
ENFiber brings together researchers, innovators, industry representatives and policymakers from across Europe and beyond. Its governance structure combines formal COST decision-making with coordinated scientific leadership, transparent implementation and active participation across seven Working Groups. This structure enables the network to align its scientific objectives, capacity-building activities, funding opportunities, communication and industry engagement throughout the lifetime of the Action.
How ENFiber is organised
Management Committee
The Management Committee brings together officially nominated representatives from participating countries. It provides formal oversight in accordance with COST rules and approves the Action’s strategic direction, work plan and key implementation decisions.

Working Groups
Seven Working Groups deliver ENFiber’s scientific, technical, training, communication and exploitation activities. Working Group Leaders and Co-Leaders coordinate tasks, collaboration and knowledge exchange within and across the groups.
Grant Holder Institution Team
The Grant Holder Institution team supports the Action’s administrative, financial, communication and day-to-day coordination, helping ensure that activities are implemented effectively and in accordance with COST requirements.
