We are pleased to share the second issue of the ENFiber COST Action CA24111 Newsletter, featuring recent activities from our growing international network.

This issue looks back at Fiber101: Basics of Fibers Workshop, ENFiber’s first Training School, held on 10-11 September 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Hosted by the National Institute of Chemistry and the Pulp and Paper Institute, the programme combined lectures, hands-on sessions, poster presentations and scientific exchange across fundamental and applied areas of fiber science.
The newsletter also features the latest sessions in the joint webinar series organised by APRISE, ENFiber and ProxIMed, exploring complementary perspectives on food-system innovation, from insect-based circular production systems to the socio-political dimensions of alternative proteins.
ENFiber members are also invited to contribute short articles, research updates, project news, opportunities and event highlights to the next issue. Suggestions can be sent to the Science Communication Coordinator of the Action, Nice Erkan, at nice@metu.edu.tr.
