ENFiber COST Action is pleased to announce the first session of its joint webinar series with APRISE and ProxIMed.
The webinar, “Insects for Food, Feed and Beyond: Circular Economy in Practice,” will be delivered by Prof. Christos Athanassiou from the University of Thessaly on 10 August 2026, from 09:00 to 10:00 CEST, online via Microsoft Teams.
The session will explore insect farming as a rapidly developing alternative protein production system and examine how the sector has evolved across Europe and other industrialised regions. It will also explore applications beyond food and feed, including fertiliser production, plant protection products, and other circular-economy solutions.
Prof. Athanassiou will also share insights from the CIPROMED project and the Insect Farming Initiative at Kansas State University.
