SUMMARY:Webinar: “Insects for Food\, Feed and Beyond: Circular Economy in Practice"
DESCRIPTION:ENFiber\, together with the APRISE and ProxIMed projects\, is pleased to invite you to the first session of a joint webinar series on alternative proteins\, novel foods and sustainable food systems. \nThe webinar\, “Insects for Food\, Feed and Beyond: Circular Economy in Practice\,” will be delivered by Prof. Christos Athanassiou from the University of Thessaly. \nInsect farming is currently one of the fastest-developing livestock production systems. The European Union has played a leading role in developing its regulatory framework and basic infrastructure\, while the sector is also expanding rapidly across North America and parts of Asia. \nInitially focused primarily on food and feed\, insect farming now covers a growing range of applications\, including the production of fertilisers\, plant protection products and other circular-economy solutions. \nThe webinar will consist of a 40-minute presentation followed by a short Q&A. \nDate: 10 August 2026\nTime: 09:00 CEST\nLocation: Online via Microsoft Teams \nParticipation is free and open to everyone\, but registration is required. \nRegister here:\nhttps://forms.gle/J9SwMLYUiBNwQQFz6 \nResearchers\, students\, early-career professionals\, industry representatives and everyone interested in alternative proteins and sustainable food systems are warmly invited to participate. \nWebinar poster (PDF)
